Sachigo Lake First Nations
At Martin McKay Memorial School I have worked as a Special Education Resource Teacher for the past three years. I implemented a successful program that the entire school benefitted from. I have worked extremely hard to promote a safe and positive atmosphere where students can build their confidence and learn to their full potential.
Play Day
At the end of the school year, I volunteered to organize Play Day for the whole school. I have done this every year working at Martin McKay Memorial School. I planned activities that were fun and exciting for all ages, as you can see the plans below. Each staff member was responsible for running stations

School-wide Math Program
This year we started a pilot program for math. This included the entire school being placed into math teams and each afternoon at the same time the whole school had math. Each math team was put together based on the skill level of the students. This program has been extremely successful and the students have been able to easily improve their math abilities and enjoy the classes.
Anti-Bullying Day
The students and teachers participated in Anti-Bullying day and as you can see below I tried to get as much pink on me as possible! I went around the school encouraging students to think about what bullying is and why people do it. The students started referring to me as the "Anti-bullying fairy" because I went around in a cape and had a pouch full of stickers that I handed out to them.
